A tragedy...

UPDATE: Our sweet friends are doing as best as they possibly can. They want to express how they have been so overwhelmed by all the love and support of friends, family and total strangers. Keep them in your prayers as there are certain to be very difficult days ahead as they mourn. Thank you.

Here is the story...

Think of that family in your neighborhood...you know the ones...the sweet, humble, charitable ones that are always serving others.

The wife is the one always busy with her children, yet manages to find the time to bake fresh zucchini bread for all the neighbors (of course using the zucchini she happened to grow in her large garden). She also makes quilts for every new baby in the neighborhood and manages to regularly get a home cooked meal on the table for her family. She is busy indeed...but rarely doing anything for herself. The husband is always there with a laugh and a kind word. He'll be the first at an event to help you set-up and loves to chat about whatever might be going on in the world. The kids are adorable. Incredibly well-behaved and sweet...full of wiggles and life...in this particular family there were five adorable little ones...

On the evening of Tuesday January 18th I'm sure the house was very busy. The older children were probably winding down (or up) after a day of school. This sweet mother went outside to move the family van and accidentally struck her two-year old daughter who had slipped-out of the house unnoticed. Sweet 2-year-old Akayla didn't survive the accident...

This is every parent's worst nightmare. It could happen to any of us...you just pray it never happens to you or anyone you love. Angie is our sweet friend and our hearts are aching for her and her family.

As you can imagine this tragedy has affected many. Everyone is looking for ways to help. The family is in need of funds to help with funeral costs and other expenses related to the tragedy.
