We have
never liked the color of our natural-wood railings. The color just doesn't match the decor in our house and it has always bothered us. Well we finally got ambitious enough to tackle this monster job...and it was a monster. First we had to tape all the stairs and carpet...then lots of sanding, priming, sanding again and then several coats of paint in the two colors. But we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how it turned out! Totally updated our house (we have a lot of railings) and made it feel very fancy and new! Hard project: yes! Worthwhile project: most definitely!

And we have had so much fun spending time with this little turkey...we made these cute little wonder-pet puppets from the internet and Stella has been carrying them around on straws. I especially have been focusing extra heapings of one-on-one time with Smooch before "baby brother" gets here! And in case you were wondering...it only takes a half of a bottle of conditioner to get through that wild hair every morning after she wakes up!

Stella's such a cutie-patootie! Sophie's hair looks exactly like that too in the morning, and of course, we go through so much leave in conditioner for her hair also.:P
